For parents

See how your child is learning. No need to nag.

VPal shows you which lessons your child has studied, what is solid and what needs another look, plus one small question to talk about at dinner.

Sunday evening
  • Minh Anh's week. VPal · weekly report
  • 4 sessions evenings with study
  • 1 h 20 min studied this week
  • Solid: Linear functions and their graphs
  • Needs another look: Common denominators
  • A dinner conversation idea: Ask: a taxi costs 10,000 dong to start and 12,000 per km. How much is a 5 km ride?
  1. Parent: Oh, there is even a question for dinner.
  2. Parent: A taxi costs 10,000 dong to start and 12,000 per km. How much is a 5 km ride?
  3. Child: 70,000 dong! 12 times 5 is 60, plus 10.
  4. Parent: Great job! So you really do get it.

What you see

Know where your child is. What they ask is theirs.

You see the lessons your child has studied and what is still shaky. What your child asks the tutor is not shown to you, so they feel free to ask even the smallest questions.

Why is b where the line crosses the y-axis?

Good question! Try putting x = 0 into y = 2x + 1. What does y equal?

y = 1

Right! When x = 0, the point sits right on the y-axis.

You don't need to be good at math. You just need to know where your child is.

Teaching is covered by the teacher and VPal. Your part is to know what your child has solid, where they are stuck, and to ask one question at dinner.

VPal grows with your child

As your child grows, VPal steps back so they can stand on their own.

In primary school, VPal guides step by step. By university, it only shows up when needed. A few days off are fine: VPal does not scold, it just lets your child review what they are about to forget first.

What parents often ask.

No. VPal gives hints one step at a time, and the worked solution only opens after your child has tried it themselves.
